Corrosion analysis of copper and silver blades using ASTM D 130 and D 7671 methods

This test method covers the determination of copper corrosion in aviation fuels, aviation turbine fuel, automotive gasoline, cleaning solvent, kerosene, diesel, fuel oil, lubricating oil and natural gasoline and all other hydrocarbons with a vapor pressure not exceeding 124 kPa (18 psi) at 37.8°C. This test method concerns the determination of silver corrosion in automotive engine fuels with a vapor pressure not exceeding 124 kPa (18 psi) at 37.8°C (100°F). Procedure A involves the use of a pressure vessel, while procedure B involves the use of a vented test tube.
