This test method assesses the oxidation stability of inhibited steam turbine oils in the presence of oxygen, water and copper and ferrous metals at elevated temperatures. This method is also used to test other oils, such as hydraulic oils and circulating oils with a density lower than that of water, which contain rust and oxidation inhibitors.
